The photographs in “The People of Moscow” were taken by Henri Cartier-Bresson way back in 1954, with help from his wife, as they were on a journey to Moscow and in Moscow itself. As a foreigner, Cartier-Bresson remarkably had a lot of leeway with who and what to photograph then.
